Your role and workplace

In this Sales Manager role, you will be in charge of leading a team of 6 specialised Sales Representatives. Together with them, you will be in charge of a customer portfolio of +/- 55 m€ annual turnover. You play a crucial role in developing and implementing sales strategies, setting goals, and monitoring the performance of your team. In this role you will report to the Market Unit Director (MUD) Manufacturing & Processes Benelux.

The regional headquarters in Brussels will be your base, which gives you quick and easy access to the M&P marketing team as well as to our regional and cluster leaders. From there and in the field, you will support your team members in translating Air Liquide’s ambitions into concrete solutions for our existing and new customers.

In your role, you understand the company’s short and long term business objectives and the market opportunities in your regions to boost the growth of your segment. You do not need a technical background, although your team possesses a portfolio of customer solutions consisting of gases (essentially air gases, carbon dioxide and Packaged gases) and a series of equipment that uses those gases. These molecules have exceptional properties, and you are curious to discover these!

Next to that, you recognise the individual needs for development and coaching from your team members. By providing them with motivating challenges, adopting a constructive and respectful feedback culture and bringing support and mentoring to every individual, you help them develop their skills, so that they in return can deliver the expected sales performance. You are also able to bring together the various departments in the Air Liquide organisation to ensure that your customers' needs and satisfaction are met in the best possible way.

The profile we are looking for

● You have followed a technical and/or commercial education (minimum bachelor's level; master is a plus);

● You have at least 5 - 10 years work experience in a commercial role. Prior experience in a management role is a plus;

● You are a people manager, who brings out the best in every person;

● You are motivated by helping others grow and develop themselves;

● You act and communicate in a proactive way and you value transparency;

● You are rigorous and well-organised in your work;

● You are results-orientated and capable of translating high level goals into concrete opportunities for your team;

● You master the English & French language. Dutch is a plus.
